Chitwan : CPN (Maoist Centre) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the leftist alliance and the 'rightist' democratic alliance were both made for bringing political stability in the country.

Talking to journalists after filing his candidacy to the member of the House of Representatives from Chitwan district constituency-3 here today, he said both the alliances offered a big opportunity for economic development and prosperity.
"Since the alliance building has not only taken place from the leftist parties but also from the rightist democratic parties, this will create an environment of achieving political stability in the country. Both the alliances would be beneficial for the people, national interest and unity," he argued.

Stating that the country could not get political stability since 70 years, the Maoist Centre chairman and former Prime Minister said, "No government could last a full five-year term in the country's history, due to which the Nepali people's aspirations for economic development and prosperity could never materialize."

He said he has come to Chitwan with a new alliance where the communist forces have come at one place by means of the leftist alliance and that it was a historic moment for him.

The Maoist Centre chairman has filed his candidacy from his home district, Chitwan, for the first time. After the conclusion of the armed conflict, he had first time contested in the election to the Constituent Assembly from two places - Rukum and Kathmandu and second time got elected from Siraha and became the first Prime Minister of Republic Nepal.

Maoist Centre leader Amik Sherchan proposed Dahal's candidacy while CPN (UML)'s Chitwan constituency-3 coordinator Ramji Prasad Sapkota seconded it.
