Veteran actor Bishnu Bhakta Phuyal took his last breath on Tuesday evening in Kathmandu. Phuyal was rushed to Birhospital after he collapsed in course of performing a play at National Theatre in the capital. The actor was pronounced death in the hospital.
Phuyals remain body was kept at National Academy in the capital where celebrities, politicians, media personalities including people from all walk of people gathered to pay their last respect to the actor. Most of the people attended in the last rites were seen with their eyes full of tears. Phuyals remain was kept at National Academy for last rite from 11am to 3pm on Wednesday. Then his remains was taken to Pashupati Ayra Ghat for funeral ritual. His body was cremated at electric crematorium.
Phuyal had been entertaining Nepali people with his tremendous acting through theatre, Kollywood and different program shown on television channels since a long time ago. He collapsed during a scene in which a royal meeting was taking place in a play called “Maharshi Yagyabalkya."
Under the directorate of Badri Adhikari, Bishnu Bhakta Phuyal was playing the role of King Janak of Mithila in the play “Maharshi Yagyabalkya” after which the tragic incident took place. Bir Hospital pronounced him dead as he was undergoing treatment. Phuyal was a popular figure in Nepali television channels, especially known as “Oh My Love Baa”. Photo and Video- Alok Thami
