Succour to flood and landslide victims from Japan

Tokyo (Japan) : A dozen organizations in Japan are active in collecting relief to the flood-affected people who lost their houses and properties to the floods and landslides in the Tarai region of Nepal. 

The Non-Resident Nepali Association regional committee as well other organizations are engaged in collecting relief for the flood and landslide victims. 

The NRNA Kanto regional committee collected 231,153 Japanese Yen from its members on Sunday and remitted the amount to Nepal in aid of the flood and landslide victims on Monday. 

The City Money Express Transfer and the Nepali Students Society, Japan have also intensified the relief collection. City Group has collected 100 thousand Yen while the employees of the City Money Express Travel have collected 50 thousand Yen on their behalf as relief assistance. 

Likewise, the Prabashi Nepali Manch close to CPN (UML) has intensified collection of relief in cash and kind in Japan. Other organizations as Chitwan Samaj, Japan; the Galkot Samaj, Japan, the Purbi Nepal Bikas Sahakarya are planning charity programmes in different places of Japan to collect assistance for the flood victims. The Sahakarya has more than 2,000 members in Japan. 

The Nepali Janasamparka Samiti, Japan close to the Nepali Congress has also issued an appeal to all the Nepalese living and working in Japan to donate to the relief fund. RSS
