Kumar Sanu is an Indian playback singer, music director, lyricist, producer and television personality. His real name is Kedarnath Bhattacharya. His father Pashupati Bhattacharya was also a vocalist and composer. He was born on 20th October, 1957 in Calcutta, India. He holds the Guinness Book of World Record for recording the most number of songs in a day, which is 28.
Kumar Sanu started his playback career in 1986 with a Bangladeshi film Yin Kanya. He gave his voice in the movies like Saajan, Phool Aur Kaante, Dil Hain Ki Manta Nahin, Deewana, Dilwale, Dhadkan, Raja Hindustani and others. He was awarded with Filmfare Best Male Playback singer Award for five consecutive years. He was also awarded with Padma Shri by the Indian government.
Kumar Sanu is coming to Nepal. He will also take part in the live concert in Kathmandu. The program is organized to maintain peaceful harmony among India and Nepal and also to promote tourism sector of Nepal.
