Nepal is playing against the the United Arab Emirates in the first match of the last round games of the ICC World Cricket League Championship at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. As both Nepal (nine points) and the UAE (six) have already been relegated, the outcome of the matches will not make difference in the eight-team table.
Put to bat first after losing the toss, Nepal has posted a 222 runs target for the UAE to win. Sharad Veswakar contributed not out 81 runs as Nepal made 221 runs in the stipulated 50 overs.
Gyanedra Malla contributed 54 runs for his team as Captain Paras Khadka and Sompal Kami contributed 20 runs each. Likewise, opener Dilip Nath made 16 runs and Basanta Regmi was not out at 14 runs. The UAE will be chasing the target in few minutes.
