Portuguese man o’ war, a deadly sea animal

Many of us love to go to sea shore and sea to enjoy vacations. But, while enjoying on seashore basking on the sun, you may come across this dangerous animal on the sea shore. But, do you know a small mistake can cost you your life. The animal that is seen in the video is such a deadly animal. The animal is multi color and looks beautiful. But, don't go by it beauty.

The deadly animal is called the Portuguese man o’ war, (Physalia physalis) is often called a jellyfish, but is actually a species of siphonophore, a group of animals that are closely related to jellyfish. A siphonophore is unusual in that it is comprised of a colony of specialized, genetically identical individuals called zooids — clones — with various forms and functions, all working together as one.

The venom of the sea animal is so dangerous that fishes that come closer to it die immediately. The sea animal can be spotted on the sea shores of Indo Pacific Ocean.

If stung by this animal, human can suffer paralysis. Apply ice if stung by the animal and if the swelling doesn’t heal in one or two hours, consult the doctors immediately.
